LostCousins isn't an ordinary website. As more and more people register we're building a community, not just of members, but of our ancestors - people who lived a hundred or more years ago. Goodness knows what they'd make of the Internet - most of them wouldn't have known how to use a telephone!

The more people who join (and remember, it's completely free to register) the more likely we all are to be able to find the people with whom we share ancestors - our lost cousins.

What's in it for me?

The more people who register their ancestors on the site, the better the chances of tracking down your lost cousins. You probably aren't related to your friends - but you might be. And there's a much higher chance that you'll be related to one of their friends, and so on.

So it makes a lot of sense for you to refer others to the site! Plus, as a reward, we'll extend your subscription by one month for every person who registers using your referral code and subsequently subscribes (so long as you were the first person to refer them). If you're not already a subscriber your bonus months will be added to your first year when you do subscribe. Bonus months remain valid for 3 months.

What's in it for them?

If your relatives join LostCousins they can share the information you've already entered in respect of your ancestors - which for anyone new to family history is a great way to start! And because they don't have to duplicate what you've already done, they can focus on finding new ancestors.
